Yeah, I think about why I'm just usually not terribly motivated to read any recent published fiction and I think that's why - the things that I really like in leisure reading are things that don't show up a lot in what's currently getting published, so if I can read old stuff, or read online, I'd rather do that instead.

Sutcliff definitely would never get published today, not in anything like her current form (and yet her books still sell...)
