Oh my god, Jedi Apprentice made me hate Qui-Gon. I already was unimpressed with him in the movie completely dropping his current comitments to go after the younger, newer model, and then guilting the guy he dropped into training the younger, newer replacement-that-never-was. And then in JA, to make it worse, he didn't even want him anyway. And it made me hate the Jedi, because apparently they steal kids from their parents, train them up, but they have a huge surplus so not all of the kids get to become Jedi. But instead of sending them back to their parents, they basically draft them into shitty jobs and fuck them all, fuck them all so much.
