We left Boston Monday morning, having had lots of fun with lots of fen, got in to Maryland around dinnertime, and discovered that we still had no power. So basically we got the cats settled, went down to the creek to fill buckets for toilet-flushing water, picked blackberries for dinner, and then just sort of collapsed on the screen porch.
We still have no power, except a friend's tiny gas generator which is keeping cell phones and freezers going, basically, and considering that nearly everyone in the neighborhood seems to be up except our street, I suspect we're now near the bottom of the priority list, so I have stopped hoping it'll be back any minute now. We're taking intermittent sanctuary with various local people for showers and internet, but I expect I will continue to be scarce for awhile.
I am getting stuff done but none of it involves electricity. I am enjoying this, but as a result, the electricity-based stuff is not getting done. Carry on without me, internets!
