These weren't my only nitpicks, just my favorite of the deduction-related ones. I mean, there's always going to be at least a little bit of that in a Holmes story, because the world isn't actually that deterministic and in the real world unpredictable factors mean you can't actually get all of that right, but there's a difference between forgiving Holmes on the little details because he's smarter than us and lives in a detective-story world, and logic that is just bad.
