On the other hand once you think of it, it's pretty obvious, so I may not be the only one who's figured it out.
This is true. When crossing the two over it's hard to come to any other conclusion.
I would love to read more of this universe. Immortals during Wizards at War would be hella interesting. The only adult wizards around and watching Poncho do his thing? I'm thinking the Immortal wizards would know the history of their Choice, the same way the dogs did, especially if all of humanity never completed theirs because of them. I love this concept so much.
I think sometimes wizardry, or the potential for it, anyway, is passed with a wizard's Quickening;
That would actually make sense given what we know of Quickenings. I mean we've seen Immortals take on traits from other Immortals they've killed so getting Wizardry would only make sense. Combined with a possibly indefinite Latency period (at least until they've taken the oath) and anyone could become a wizard.
Cassandra was a wizard who failed her Ordeal, and only lived because of the ...ambiguity of the Power who defeated her.
Yes!
My only problem with Methos being an avatar of the Lone Power is the fact that he's very much an Immortal. I mean he takes heads, gets the buzz, he's definitely an Immortal. What would happen if he lost a fight? Would the winner than become the avatar?
I do like b the best, but c is rather intriguing, depending on who/what he really is. I like the idea of a, but I'm not sure how it would actually work.
