I may have talked about MacLeod being an Abdal before. A few times (only working on this story since before 2007...) On the other hand once you think of it, it's pretty obvious, so I may not be the only one who's figured it out.

I am so tempted to bring this universe forward enough that I can get to Wizards at War and bring in long, long Immortal latency periods. *flailyhands* Maybe in four more years? Grace and Rebecca and Amanda are definitely wizard-ish, and I think Connor, too; not sure about Darius (there's the whole thing with the holy man at the Gates of Paris - he might be something Power-esque, instead. Or... maybe it's that weirdness with Immortal wizardry coming up again: I think sometimes wizardry, or the potential for it, anyway, is passed with a wizard's Quickening; that might even be how Richie got his.)

Cassandra was a wizard who failed her Ordeal, and only lived because of the ...ambiguity of the Power who defeated her. (That will totally come up too, if I ever write more of this.)

Methos is either a) the avatar of the Lone Power who appeared for the Immortal Choice, and like Esemeli of the Alaalu is stuck in that limited form until the Choice is finished, but unlike Esemeli has been free to learn and grow in the interim; b) the original Immortal Wizard, who gave up his wizardry, then let himself be Overshadowed for a long time; c) telling the truth about not remembering his origins, and has pieced together a vague idea of who he must be from the way other Powers have dealt with him (and may be wrong about who he thinks he is;) d) in the process of becoming something that doesn't have a name yet, or e) some or all of the above or something else, too: I haven't decided yet, and as the Manual says, personality and identity in the upper / more central reaches of created being are routinely not much like those in the more merely physical, outer reaches. :P
