US Politics!
So I just sent an e-mail to my Congressman saying basically "Impeach the President. No rly, impeach him already." The articles of impeachment were officially read on the floor again tonight, (ending after midnight EDT, because House leadership is bipartisanly working to bury them) and a vote was postponed until this morning for lack of a quorum. The only slim chance we've got to see this go anywhere other than under is to make sure at a grassroots level that they can't really bury it.
So: If you're a US citizen and believe that any one of the 35 points outlined in the articles actually happened, then it's your duty to let your congressperson know that to bury the impeachment is simply a gross miscarriage of justice and defiance of basic ethics, at a level that ought to override any merely political concerns. (And I defy *anyone* to claim that *all* 35 are incorrect, because while several of them are fairly wingnutty, many of them are simply undeniable statements of public fact about things that were brazenly done despite being clear violations of the law of the land. Passing articles of impeachment just means we get public hearings as to which ones actually are worth prosecuting on.)
(I tend to write to Congress about once a year. That covers it for this year, then.)

I'm gonna be messing with the gimp stuff today and probably e-mail you an outline tonight, but I should be able to get it all together myself. (Maybe!)
