Hah! Y'know, I don't think I've ever done Shrove Tuesday that wasn't a big get-together? Even when I was living at college, a group from one of the dorms would do one out of their communal kitchen. (And confuse 80% of the student body who had no idea what Shrove Tuesday was.)
