Really really! It's a very alien perspective to me, this idea that pirating is just a part of childhood. Although -- now that I think about it I can think of one illegally copied thing from my childhood, which was a copy of the Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella (the version starring Brandy), which was copied off of the tv broadcast. And I have vague recollections of one of our cassette tapes having a handwritten label, which I suspect means illegal copying. But other than that, no! Actually when I was first introduced to the very idea of mixtapes I was pretty sure they were just some weird thing that was big in fiction but never actually happened in real life.

Ohhhhh awesome old dresses, I am SO SO JEALOUS. My mom and my grandparents are none of them my dimensions (curse you, tallness!) so I have no such luck.
