Memage.
I have way too much homework that I absolutely *have* to have done by tomorrow - so of course, it's time for a
What's your name spelt backwards? Aras. AKA Nennalem. (Which would both be cool character names.)
What did you do last night? Messed online, watched Bones (I live on the East Coast, do not live in some tiny Appalachian community, and do not get flouridated tap water! Alas, their facts fail them yet again.), did homework, did research. Um. Possibly other stuff too.
The last thing you downloaded onto your computer? Look For The Alien Label. (Although technically it's Mom's computer, because I'm supposed to be writing a powerpoint presentation.)
Have you ever licked a 9-volt battery? Yes. *blink* Hasn't everyone? ... it's strangely compelling, especially if you're very bored and have a basically unlimited supply of 9-volts in the bottom of the sound cabinet ...
Last time you swam in a pool? Probably last summer sometime at some hotel.
What are you wearing? My newest pair of jeans, cotton granny underwear, HP t-shirt, plaid teacher jacket.
How many cars have you owned? None! And never shall! Unless it's one of these, or something equally clever.
Type of music you dislike most? the kind that consists of screams and distorted electric guitar and no actual detectable melody.
Do you have cable? yes
What kind of computer do you use? My old/new toshiba laptop, when in transit or in class. My new/old toshiba laptop, when I'm at home and online. Mom's emachine, when I need to use programs other than Notepad and Opera and Gimp. Macs by preference when online at the computer labs at school.
Ever made a prank phone call? Nope, but I watched my sister and her friend Alyssa getting in trouble for it, so clearly her answers to this survey aren't too accurate.
You like anyone right now? Lots of people. I love the whole world! Let's go sing some Peter Paul and Mary songs! (I always loved "Lemon Tree") (And now the last thing I've downloaded is an mp3 of that...)
Would you go bungee jumping or sky diving? Sure! I'd prefer hang-gliding or parasailing though.
Furthest place you ever traveled? Western North Dakota - TR National Park
What's your favorite comic strip? The only ones I'm currently staying up-to-date on are the Interrobang ones - oh, and
weebones.
Do you know all the words to the national anthem? Only the first verse, I fear. But I also know the first verse of "To Anacreon in Heaven", and the first verses of "Maryland my Maryland" and "The Workers' Flag is Deepest Red." And the Internationale, standard English version.
Shower, morning or night? Whichever I feel like.
Best movie you've seen in the past month? The Librarian, Quest for the Spear. And probably bits of others, on TV, I don't recall.
Favorite pizza toppings? Fresh tomato, pineapple, mushrooms, sausage, lots and lots of cheese. But it depends on my mood. Cheez-its are good.
Chips or popcorn? Depends. I go years at a time without ever eating any chips, and then suddenly decide they're not disgusting anymore and binge.
What cell phone provider do you have? Virgin Mobile.
Have you ever smoked peanut shells? Er. No. I've never smoked anything. Except punk sticks, but that doesn't count 'cause you don't inhale through the stick.
Have you ever been in a beauty pageant? Nope.
Orange Juice or apple? Apple, but orange has been growing on me lately.
Who were the last people you sat at lunch with? ... Gracie and Mom and various other relatives on Sunday? I'm really not much for eating in company if it can be avoided. (Um, is the person who wrote this a high schooler? I've never heard that usage much in the outside world...)
Favorite chocolate bar? MOUNDS.
Who is your longest friend and how long? Ah, what is a friend? Various cousins and family friends and other relatives-or-as-good-as, all my life.
katrianya, since kindergarten, I hope, though I haven't actually spoken to her in far too long. Online? Some of you webcomics folk I haven't actually interacted with much in years, but I'd like to think you still count.
Last time you ate a homegrown tomato? Not sure, 'cause I wonder if those in Frederick might've been real homegrowns. Ones where I saw the garden? Far too long! But I have hopes.
Have you ever won a trophy? A couple, but generally by default. (I won a graphing calculator once, though; that one I actually earned.)
Favorite arcade game? I like to watch.
Ever ordered from an infomercial? No. I am, in fact, smarter than that.
Sprite or 7-UP? Cherry 7-up. Failing that, Sprite.
Have you ever had to wear a uniform to school/work? Nope.
Last thing you bought at Walgreens? Don't think I've been in one either. Last thing bought at a drugstore was probably chocolate-covered cherries for Mom at Christmas.
Would you prefer being a millionaire or finding true love? Right *now*, the millionaire thing, because I am really spending a lot of time dreaming of flying free, and a lover ties one down just as much as poverty. If I only get one ever, though, then true love, which, while it can also be spent, will at least always leave something worthwhile behind it - unlike money.
Do you believe in love at first sight? I believe in *everything*.
SPONGEBOB OR JIMMY NEUTRON? When there's trouble, you know who to call! From their tower they can see it all! TEEN TITANS GO!
Did you have long hair as a young kid? Never as long as I wanted it to be.
What message is on your voicemail machine? I have no idea. I never check my voicemail anyway; I don't give out the number. I hate phone calls.
Where would you like to go right now? I want to go for a very, very long walk, down the American Discovery Trail, and maybe not come back. Beautiful weather! *sigh* Drat-blast schoolwork.
Whats the name of your pet(s)? Dun't havany.
What kind of back pack do you have, and what's in it? A maroon Gryffindor one that was bought on clearance way back before the first movie was even out. Currently it contains, uh... The Maldive Mystery, by Thor Heyerdahl, with five overdue notices from the library marking my place; two train schedules; my newest sketchbook; my third-oldest sketchbook; my lab notebook; my lab workbook; my second-newest notebook; my Sudoku book; my college folder, and various papers that belong in my college folder; the remains of my lunch; my calculator, my cell phone, a whole bunch of loose change; my cell phone charger, my stapler, pens and pencils, bus and metro schedules; my digital camera case (wtf did I do with the camera? hmm.); my new/old laptop, my laptop charger, my train ticket.
What do you think about most? All kinds of things. All the time. That's my *problem*, I couldn't even guess at the plurality. I spent much of the train ride home wondering, if Gotham eats its children, is Batman Vor? (... I'm thinking he fits kind of, but having been raised by his father's loyal Batman Alfred instead of true Vor, he isn't screwed up in quite the right way. Ollie's definitely true Vor though.) RE: that, a whole bunch of stuff about honor and loyalty and responsibility, as a result of quite accidentally finding the last of the Barrayar books in pirate online versions (yes, I'm aware of the irony there, but darnit, I'd buy 'em if I could - and if I bought 'em now it'd probably be used off Amazon, so it's not like LMB would be getting anything from it anyway.) (And now the last thing I downloaded was Borders of Infinity - get what I said about short attention span?
