Last week on Bones I was all about Angel and Bones being epic platonic partners, but apparently, all it took to make me go "they should get married! Right now!" was the introduction of a moppet.
I'm regretting skipping tv last night, now. Most of my Bones love goes to Bones's adorably geeky minions, but the Scully and Mulderish "do they or don't they have sexual tension" dynamic between Bones and FBI!Angel both makes me happy (Yay! No cliched romance yet!) and makes me nervous (what if the writers decide to set them up as a couple, do it badly, and the show consequently starts to suck?). Of course, I have trouble getting past the little voice in my brain insisting that FBI Guy is shansued Angel, starting a new life for himself in DC, and that any episode now, Buffy and Spike are going to show up to drag him off for a life of dysfunctional threesomeness.
Not even crappy attempts featuring mary-sue patients dying of victorian novel disease.
I didn't think there was a plotbunny in existence that could tempt me into wanting to write House fic, but that one comes close. She would be an immigrant girl from Eastern Europe (the former Soviet Union being a mecca for 19th century diseases), with a sexy accent and TB--but weird TB, the kind that goes after organs other than your lungs, so the obvious "coughing up blood" symptoms aren't present. House would cleverly figure out what was wrong with her, but, OH NOES, it would be incurable multi-drug resistant tuberculosis, and she would die tragically, killed by mutated bacteria. And the entire cast would mourn.
