Have been in White River Junction for just over 24 hours now. WiFi is more spotty than anticipated, but have already identified a fellow scans_daily alumna! (We bonded over Devo.)

(That's almost as far as Mount Desert Island! In one day! I knew it could be done! (Without the Salisbury detour, of course!))

It is an *excellent* hotel! And we are staying in the Youth Hostel section, which makes it even cooler! \o/

The roof leaks, our door only locks if you jiggle it first, the hardwood floors in the hallway squeak, the trains go by at all hours right outside our room, and one of the windows in the communal kitchen is out. It is the spiffiest place *ever*. I am living the life of bohemia, sister!

Haha my Yuletide fic (er, one of them) is off at beta!

Not that it might not totally suck. But my seekrit strategy is to post a sucky story for my recipient, and then I am an official non-defaulter and I have a whole nother week to finish a second story!

Which might also suck. Oh, well.
