Just this once, everybody lives!
I was given a suprise birthday party yesterday! When I really should have been studying for my statistics exam! (Just like now!)
Best birthday *ever.* I got two presents that I've wanted for *ages*:
crochety gave me a really nice, (more-or-less) brand new, unabridged, illustrated copy of Le Morte Darthur.
stellar_dust gave me a Curtiss Jenny! (Okay, it was 1/48th scale. And disassembled. But still! A Jenny! <3)
But the best part was, there were people!
crochety,
stellar_dust,
speakerender,
kenosis_kalon,
zodiaccat,
enemy_anime,
xerahanadu,
katrianya,
kiskameow,
keyosko,
lonym82,
ibowieh3,
bonemarch, and ... possibly also some people whose ljs I don't know ... jumped out at me when I came home from cleaning my aunt's cat's litter box, all covered in cat hair.
If the purpose of a birthday party is to make you less regret the year gone by, it worked. I may have pretty much wasted 23 years and have no future plans at all. But. I've gotten a chance to know all those people, so my life is good! It really is.
Also, dorkiest party ever, which was awesome.
Of course, now I'm going to fail Statistics, and I didn't have time to get any Mother's Day stuff together for Mom, but it was *totally* worth it. I love you all.
Now, to try to figure out what are the chances that two out of three checkers randomly placed on a 5*5 board will end up in the same row or column. yay.
