newbieguide xf thing and re-reading the fanfic_hate thread has me thinking? It's making me think of Stargate:Atlantis. We're the Second Evolution of X-Files fans. The Ancients were scary and powerful and all, and I'm certainly willing to use their stuff if I find it, 'cause it's nifty, but they've mostly Ascended to the higher plane of Smallville and RPS and OC and whatever, so we can swan around the fandom pretending we know what we're doing, and wise glowy people only show up once or twice a season, during sweeps. <3
Possibly I need to get more sleep.
