lift you up in the middle of the night

Last night I dreamed that alien invaders were destroying the world. I have end-of-the-world dreams fairly often, mind, and they're usually quite fun and heartwarming; this one was pretty typical, though most of the details have blurred over already-- me accidently doing undercover-secret agent work and getting in over my head, end-of-the-world-sex in refugee camps, cameos by old acquaintances and random internet people, cute animals that miraculously survive, my old high school getting blown up (which happens in every one of these dreams, for some reason,). The thing about this one, though, is that I'm fairly sure the aliens were the same ones as in The Book of Zogg, which scares even me a little.

And on a similar note, I've been watching the Teen Titans cartoon every once in a while, and while the animation's a bit, yeah, right, and the plots can get silly even for a kids' cartoon, the voice actors are niice, especially some of the ones they got for recurring minor characters. But it probably shouldn't have suprised me as much as it did to discover that the one character I fell *completely* in love with at his first line ... is voiced by Wil Wheaton.

Also, the next comment on this journal will be number 2,000, and if that comment includes something for me to draw, I will draw it for them. Yay!

If you wanted to draw us wandering somewhere in our cloaks, I wouldn't complain. But if you had in mind drawing something more fannish or fey, I'll pass to number 2001..

Haha, yes, Wil on Teen Titans. I should watch that sometime to listen to him. d-: Aquaboy, or something, right? All I know about the character is what he blogs about, which isn't much, except he apparently gets cool lines.

Um, drawing? [livejournal.com profile] dreamsquirrel's idea is cool. (; Or in keeping with the theme, you could draw Wil and his poor sick kitty. Or you could illustrate your XF-Men some more, or a pic of Spike, Dru and George on the bridge would be spiffy. Or all of them! Hee.

Aqualad= teh s3XXor (http://www.eskimo.com/~tegan/blog/blogpics/teentitans_aqualad.jpg). Just so you know. Unfortunately I think he's only in about five episodes. );

Also unfortunately I know nothing about Wil's kitty. I could probably draw Catboy!Aqualad though. q: And to do George on the bridge I'd need access to the movie for reference. The last one is very doable, though.

Since when is people off questing in cloaks *not* fannish and fey? I can definitely do that.

[identity profile] aelkiss.livejournal.com 2005-02-06 04:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay! I don't think of myself that way, but I suppose I should. Though perhaps still not as fannish as Dilly or Slytherin girls nor as fey as carnivorous flower faeries or Bess or St. Ada.

First, how are you keeping track of how many comments you've had?

Oddly enough, my old high school gets blown up in MY dreams, too. There isn't an end-of-the-world involved, however...

Wow... you don't see Raven smiling very often.

Click the (more details...) link at the bottom of your lj info page, it'll give you some stats. I just happened to notice that I was on 1999. :)

Sketch! (http://www.wilwheaton.net/mt/archives/001785.php) Meow!

Wow, no one has obsessively screencapped IAWL and stored the result in an obvious place online. Want me to take some for you?

heh. Sure. I'm currently debating whether to a) attempt to write more on that story having forgotten the source material; b)declare it finished and archive it; or c) put it away 'til next Christmas...

K. Not tonight though. This week probably. How obsessively do you want? Or I could just rip the whole thing to avi. *is illegal*

If you have more in mind, I say write more now. It *could* stand alone the way it is, but there's so much potential! whee!

[identity profile] melannen.livejournal.com 2005-02-06 07:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, of course I have more in *mind*; I have that 'verse planned out to the time when Mary Bailey, retiring CEO of Baileybank International, takes her slayer-granddaughter and sucessor to meet with their lawyers at W&H. That doesn't mean I should *write* it.

You should get on Cartoon Network and catch the last ten minutes of the Aqualad episode NOW.

Well, that was silly. But um, yay for Wil.

You should write it! Now!!

You missed the best line in that episode: "Release the mind-controlled squid!"

umm. Anyway.

Illegal pirate avis would be sweet. Or you could just cap what you want me to draw an AU of.
