So I didn't watch the debate. I did watch the Daily Show as part of my effort to learn history solely through comedy and fiction. (After catching the last Highlander movie on Sci-fi while doing homework. Girls, why is there no Connor/Kell fic to be found? Wah!) Talk about liberal bias in the media, though! From that, you'd get the impression that Kerry completely trampled Bush, and that our president was neither nimble nor bright.

Oh, wait.

Actually I'd never watched the Daily Show much before the past two weeks, and I'd somehow got the impression that they mocked everybody impartially to just the extent they deserved, but nope. It's the first actual evidence I've ever seen of that fabled liberal bias in the media, actually, kinda disillusioning. I'm tempted to force myself to watch O'Reilly now, but I'm not quite that self-loathing yet. Not quite. Besides, I definitely fit the Daily Show demographic better, despite not being stoned.

However, I have to agree with the Republicans that it is *never* a good idea to overlook the mighty land of John Sobieski. Just ask the Turks.

(yes, this was just an excuse to use my Doonesbury!Kerry icon again before it goes out of date. I wonder if I can keep making political posts which are completely irrelevant to the real issues right up until the election.)

Yeeah... Stewart tries to make fun of people evenly, but sometimes he leans liberal... especially when given ammunition. (Saw the last 40 minutes or so of the debate... I have to say that Bush was looking far too flustered, and fell behind a good two arguments at any time)

And sadly, I think I still remember that strip... (reminds self to make a political icon... PPP-kedavra isnt working)

yeah, Jon Stewart is definetly left leaning...but on the other hand, he's not really a journalist, he's a comedian..which is funny 'cuz he acts more like a journalist than pretty much everybody in the business. Pretty sad. X_x

But yeah, you didn't miss much by not watching the debate. Pretty much everything you needed to know was on the Daily Show...oh, and Ruddy Guiliani is an ass-munch.

I'm not the only one that got all my news from the Daily Show in college it seems! *grin*
