Present
What's in your CD player: Pirated Asian copy of X-Files Season Six Disk Five.
What color socks are you wearing: None. Earlier today, red with silver stripes.
What's under your bed: quilt box, roll of posters, box lid full of spare toiletries, cleaning supplies, etc, plastic box filled with everything else.
What's the weather like: dark. cloudy. ~20°F. Old snow in places on the ground.
What time did you wake up today: 6:00. This is not as impressive as it sounds, since I'd been in bed twelve hours by then. Was not actually up and moving for another three hours.
What is on your TV? A Krispy Kreme Donuts hat. Look quite jaunty, too.

The Future
Who do you want to marry: hm. At the moment I only plan to marry if I get someone pregnant, and that doesn't look likely right now.
Are you going to college: yep.
Where do you want to go: Where do I go/ Follow the river/ Where do I go/ Follow the gulls./ Where is the something/ Where is the someone/ That tells me why I live and die.
What is your career going to be: Join the Peace Corps after college. Use my one-year federal employment exemption to apply to the FBI and CIA and USGS. Become a federal agent. Start publishing fiction meanwhile. Retire to teach by age forty. Retire for good by age sixty. Live on a homestead in Alaska off my writing income.
Where are you going to live: In third world village, then in studio apartment in a city, then in a tiny house in a small college town, then a cabin in the wilderness.
How many kids do you want: My dream is foster parenting. So . . lots of kids, but not entirely 'mine', and not for 18 years at a stretch . . although I'd like the experience of bearing at least one.
Kids' names: They won't be mine to name. But I like simple old-fashioned names like Hannah or Benjamin.
Where do you want your honeymoon: If I get married, we won't need a honeymoon.
What kind of car will you have: If I have to, either a vintage VW bus or a pickup I actually need. Am considering a cheap motorcycle though. Or a boat.
What age are you going to marry: To quote one of my favorite novels, "before the kids are old enough to start nagging us about the subject."

Am I the only one who gets squicked when reading slashfic where the characters actually use the word "squick"? q;
