To all of my questions

Ah, daylight savings ends! My favorite time of year: As long as I can avoid having to set my clocks back, I can bask in class starting an hour later every day . . the dining hall being open when I'm actually hungry . . the inconvenience store having convenient hours for once. Wonderful feeling.

I've decided that writing anything on the whiteboard next door (see: previous entry) would be too confrontational, so instead, a giant paper squid does indeed go up tonight, and this goes on *my* whiteboard:

"James gazed down at the baby. `He has your eyes, Lily. Doesn't look much like me yet, though.'
Lily shifted her son in her arms. `Actually, James, I'd meant to mention this to you earlier. You know how in school I'd always tell you I'd rather date the Giant Squid in the lake? Well . . Harry isn't actually your son.'"

I considered doing something NC-17, but that's officially against dorm policy, I think, and besides, Lily/Squid, theirloveissocanon.

My ankle has been sore for the past two days for no particular reason. I'm hoping if I ignore it long enough it'll go away; meanwhile I'm wearing the other pair of hightops, the ones that give me blisters on my heels but have great support for my ankes.

Classes are going as well as can be expected. The structual prof is getting vaguer and vaguer. Today he switched rooms for lecture randomly without telling half the class; I was among those who never got the telepathic memo he apparently sent out. Learned more in that class today than I had all year, just sitting around with the others chatting about high school stage crew. Yes-- we were *all* in high school crew; clearly geology is the major for me.

ALSO. For the first time, the Peace Corps has a Masters International program in geology. This has made me very happy; but now I shall actually worry about getting into the grad school of my choice . . .

Chem exam Thursday. Off to ponder writing Acid/Base for [livejournal.com profile] schoslashtic. Oh, come on, their chemistry's obvious.

edit: OMG. I just realized: this would be like the *perfect* squidwarts theme song.

That sounds like an absolutely hilarious community. You have to show me that piece if you write it. ;)
Chem sucks to an infinite power.
Squid stories *shudder*
